It is highly unlikely that India will win the cricket world cup to be held in India, Srilanka and Bangladesh.
As it is known to choke at the prime games, I think it might reach semis but not beyond that level.
My bet is on England to win this world cup.

I would be immensely happy and on a seventh sky if India wins the cup. However, like you I am a bit skeptical given their past record in World Cups.
My favourites are South Africa and England to win the World Cup this year.

Former Australian all-rounder Michael Bevan has picked India as one of the favourites to win the World Cup starting next month in the sub-continent.
Bevan, who has been roped in by Kings XI Punjab as their chief coach for the fourth edition of the Indian Premier League, said Mahendra Singh Dhoni and his boys have it in them to lift the trophy on April 2.
"India is performing as a team, as a unit. One would have to say that they have come up great as a team. There is so much potential in these boys," said Bevan.
"They are the number one Test side in the world, second in One-Day Internationals. India have got the capacity to lead world cricket for a long time," the 40-year-old Belconnen-born former left-hander said.
India have won the World Cup only once in 1983 and were runners up in 2003. In 2007, they were knocked out in the first round.
The World Cup begins on February 19 with India taking on Bangladesh in the opening tie in Dhaka.
Bevan has also been appointed chief coach of the Orissa Ranji Trophy team recently and the Australian hoped he would be able to deliver the goods with his vast experience and knowledge of the game.
"With proper coaching and guidance, I hope to deliver the results. They are a good side and I will be fine-tuning their skills," said Bevan, one of the world's all-time best finishers.
Bevan will be in charge of the team from October 2011 to February 2012
