I read in online that Ontario PNP process takes 3 +3 months for provincial process and then CIC will take 12-14 months for PR.

whereas regular CIC PR process will take 14 to 18 months.

1. My question is if the processing times are almost same, why pay extra for PNP?

2. Also while I'm in US, Can my company apply for PNP?

Looking forward to land in Toronto.

Thanks.

""Which is faster? Ontario PNP vs Regular Skilled Worker PR""

When I read your entire post, I see it posing a few conditions to fulfill.

It does not matter how much it costs, if your employer cannot qualify, you cannot enter.
If you do not qualify, then you cannot enter, even if your employer qualifies to sponsor.
If you both meet the requirements and if the number of immigrants allowed has reached the 'cap', then it does not matter, You are out till the next window of opportunity opens up.

Now for the costs : If your employer is paying for this and your transportation into Canada, it has very little impact on your finances.

Now coming to the very first statement, your planning to move by the year end makes a definite statement, which means that the process has been started and you will make it to our shores by the year end.

With all these facts in hand you might as well tell us how much it is going to cost either through the PNP route or through the Fed's?

Having all of these facts in hand, I am sure, you also know the answer. Why pay more? Unless you are desperate or the situation demands a way out to get you here in a hurry, I see no reason to spend anything extra, provided the processing times as posted by you are really accurate and there are no snags between now and the year end.

Freddie,

I have to bear are CIC PR process costs whether I go via PNP or regular process.

So I am just checking, if I go via PNP, is there any advantage?

I can not only feel and I am seeing the doors closing down on all of us. Unless your employer has an LMO and a Job Offer for you in Toronto, your chances of getting into Canada either through the CIC or PNP are slim. So, forget about the merits. Get in through, which ever door lets you in. That is the best way in. And Good Luck.

Freddie.

Freddie,

I have a permanent job offer in hand.

So when I land in Canada, should I go for Ontario PNP or regular process?

Thanks.
