Dear All,

Can anyone tell me that is there any demand for SAP professionals in canada? if yes then in what field, i.e. HR, supply chain management, financial etc.

For PR, will SAP professional get any preference? if yes then how much experience he/she must have as a SAP professional to get PR?

Please assist.
Cheers,

Go to http://www.cic.gc.ca" rel="nofollow">LINK and read up on the revised list of occupations that will be accepted for PR applications. The list of occupations have been reduced and you may want to first check if your field will even qualify for PR.

Short answer is "NO" for PR preference, actually as computer professional you don't qualify for skilled worker PR anymore....
Try provincial PR if you can..

SAP market is quiet slow in Canada these days, hopefully it will improve in near future...

1. You will not get PR under skilled category anymore. That clearly shows that there is no demand.

2. Demand is extremely poor in Canada because market is flooded with people from India. Clients are ready to get people from India for their project and pay less.
I work as an SAP consultant in Toronto and know exactly what is going on.

Recommendation :

1. Do not try the PR process you will waste your time, money and career.
2. If you ware working as an SAP Consultant it is a very high probability that you can come to North America on a client project. This will give you a clear picture of what the situation is here.

Sounds like a tough environment for SAP jobs if the GTA is flooded with people from India being brought in to do the work.

Just saw on the Hurontario Exit Ramp of 403 a Desi carrying the following sign card board:

IT Expert - Will Work for Food!.

Eventhough the above is a joke the way things are going it'll be reality shortly.

How shortly? (thousand years from now when timeline compared with dinosaur extinction?)
SAP, I don't know about but IT will be there as long as there are unknowns in the universe.
