I immigrated to Canada in Feb 2004 and lived for 3 months, due to my mother's sockness I have to go back home. I again came back in Feb 2009, and applied for renewal of PR card. Since then I am waiting for it.

Is there any chances that CIC will renew my PR card.

You should not have problem in renewing...

You have not met the residency requirements.
It is up to CIC how they wish to proceed.
They may deny your PR Card renewal, which in effect means loss of PR status.
Or they may consider humanitarian and compassionate grounds.

Didn't they ask you questions at the airport (while reentering Canada in Feb 2009)?? I'm just curious. On the other hand I totally agree with Pratickm but can't understand “they didn't question you on absence at airport”?
