Hi,
Anyone have idea about HTC Dream white mobile, as i am going with Rogers for more two years on contract with this phone of price $99.99.
is this really good phone?

HTC are not a good choice.
Best phone on market are NOKIA and SAMSUNG

If you are tech savvy, go for it. It's a nice phone.. you do know that it runs Android, right? You will be able to get a number of cool apps

HTC dream has both touch screen and key board as compared to Apple iphone. It is said that more and more mobile application will be built around Anroid o/s in future and Rogers sell this with preinstalled software to be compatible with Microsoft exchange server and email account of Microsoft exchange can be configured on HTC Dream.
It has all feature which Apple iphone except that it is not that popular as Apple iphone is and additionally it has key board for people who are not comfortable with touch screen.
It is an individual choice.

Have you done any research at all? Nokias and Samsungs of the worlds are basic phones and now expanding into the semi-smartphone category. HTC is a Taiwan based company that for many many years has manufactured phones for vodafone, tmobile, rogers etc.. now for some years they have launched their own brand name. they initially launched windows mobile 6 only and now the HTC dream is a smartphone running googles android OS. I say go for the HTC dream.

Yesterday i went to Future Shop for Phone and they given me a two options with three years contract instead of two years.
1. HTC White dream(half of touch screen with key functions)
2. HTC Magic (full touch screen)
I called Rogers and now they are pushing me to buy a Data plan with this phones, as I know this both phones are coming with WI-FI, so i do not need data plan. But now they changed their statements and saying we can give this phone with $99.99 but with Data plan only.
My Previous plan with rogers was
$30.00 (100 minutes) + unlimited income + call ID + 1000 weekday and weekend minutes . total cost with tax $51.00/month.
Now when i told rogers that i am moving somewhere else. now offered me
$20.00 (250 minutes) + unlimited calls after 6.00p.m. + caller ID total will cost me $31.01 with tax with three years contract with out Data Plan.
with Data plan will cost me around $61.00/month.
Is it advicable to again to do the contract with rogers for more Three years? is really looks good plan?
I will keep update what's finally going on with rogers.....

I saw on Rogers site that they have the regular i phone 3G (not 3GS) for 99 dollars if you sign up for a 3 year contract. Did you discuss about i phone with the rep? The $31 contact they offered is good for the features you are getting (squeeze them a bit more so that they include voice messaging too)
