non PR of PR spouse - newly married

Hello all,

I got my PR a year back and since then staying in Canada. But right now I might visit India for my marraige and my wife is a non-PR. Will I be able to bring her along with me? will there be any special scenario where she can legally stay in Canada while her PR is still sponsored by me? Please let me know.

Hello

once you get married then you can sponsor your spse.without a valid visa she cannot enter canada.Normally spse sponsorship takes 6 months(i believe)
If you cannot leave her behind(in india)you could apply for visitors visa get her to canada then you could apply for sponsorship

Which will almost certainly be denied.
This is one of the many ways immigrants from Asian/African and other non-white countries are discriminated against.
While the Brit, French Australian or German spouse of a Canadian pr can come and live in Canada while the spouse sponsorship is under process, the Indian or Pakistani or Egyptian spouse is forced to spend months and months waiting for spousal sponsorship
