I have a similar situation .... ' No Parking sign on left 'can not be read from where the car was parked on the side of a road .......... its at least 400 mts away and facing the other direction with a parking lot in b/w .....
Should n't the no parking sign be visible from where one parks a car .... Its $40/- and I don't wish to take time off and contest ...
Are there any numbers where we can call and explain the situation .... Can they decrease the fine w/o having to contest it ??

Friends :
1 Parking tickets have no demerit point and no implications on your driving record or insurance. Unless the amount is too high or the ticket is blatantly illegal, it makes no sense to fight it and waste time in court.
2. For all other moving violation tickets - irrespective demerit points, if you plead guilty (with or without explanation), it will still show on your record and your insurance company may still be interested. Guilty is guilty - doesnt matter the offence and the amount of fine. Negotiating with prosecutor before your hearing will NOT take away your charge.
Most paralegals only gaurantee reduction/removal of demerit points - but they too plead guilty - which you could have done it yourself.
To contest the ticket and plead not guilty - please search for my earlier post on the same topic in charcha.
Hope this helps.

I called up the Parking Enforcement and they informed me that the onus of checking the whole street is on the driver ... I don't think I will contest especially when there are no demerit points ..
