SEA : 20 ft TEU $7000 plus customs and clearances about $750 You Pick. Delivery as per their schedules. 46-60 days. (From India) to Montreal or N.York. Delivering to the door and pick up the empty is another $750.
1 TEU is ton equivalent unit. = 20 x 8 x 8.5 cu feet.

5vrecently, i shipped my personal belongings from hong kong to toronto by sea the volume was 5 CBM cubic meter, and i paid approx 1000 usd for door to door service. the quotations varied a lot from 10000 usd to 500 usd for door to door service finally i dealt thru a known desi bhai.
i have my fingers crossed as shipment is under way.
so from mumbai to toronto should be +10% but the key is to find a reliable and trust worthy guy, it maybe better to pay bit higher but get a safe shipment.
