i want prompt advice as i m applying for parents visiter visa as i already have applied for the family case and submitting the reciept for same with visiter visa application. i have provided all documents like job letter,notice of assesment,invitation letter notorized,family sponsership recipt,bank statement worth 12000c$.but confussed as my parents are retired from govt. jobs and dont file their income tax and money in their acounts is about only 3 lakhs so plz advice me ,is it better to apply for their visiter visa as i heard that chandigarh consulate is refusing about 90% cases.

You have done your best while applying for a visitor's visa for your Parents. If you had mentioned that you will pay and do the needful, such as making the travel arrangements and insurance during the stay, then you would have clinched it. Now you are at the mercy of the Officer who is going to make the decision on the application.

It is evident, from the financial statements, that they are not going to deplete their bank balance totally for a visit, and when they return, they find themselves in a precarious position.
