If you work full time 8 hours a day and 40 hours+ per week, then they ought to give you the credit that you are seeking. But when you work part time, a few hours a day or a week, I don't think that they would consider that as work experience. That will be considered as apprenticeship. That is a ball of wool of another colour.

All of these are left at the discretion of the Officer whose lap the file lands and what his guide book at work tells him to do. I don't have a copy. But I will research the item at a later date.
