Hi all

this post is on behalf of my cousin sister who applied for study permit in India. She wants to do Business management in college but due to her English proficiency she decided to do an esl core program first, so she applied to Qeust language study school in toronto and then did her application process in India. She got a letter saying that she was rejected for application for study permit. We had submitted the following documents for her

1) all the student permit forms
2) financial statements from my dad's bank account as my uncles financial position is not that great so my dad decided to sponsor my cousin . My parents are in UAE, so he provided his salary slips and all other documents which showed that he would fully support her for her study period. We did not show or mention anything about her parents financial condition, as we were scared it would lead to a rejection.
3) My dad wrote a letter explaining why we were supporting her, and he future plans for her BBA in canada.

we got back an answer from CHC saying the following

1) She has not demonstrated that she is well established in India
2) She has not demonstrated that her parents have sufficient income to justify her proposed studies- ( we have showed more than 3 years of available tuition and accommodation money)
3)Not provided documents to domonstrate relationship between the sponsor( my dad) and her
4) Not demonstrated that your sponsor will provide adequate support to cover the cost of her studies( we should bank statements, salary slips )

Now she is planning to attend the college rather than going through language school, so she is applying for business administration in seneca. I am wondering if i can get any help on how to demonstrate the reason for rejection in her last application and should we go through any immigration lawyer or agency or should we do it again by ourself. Another Question is how long should she wait to apply again after the rejection does her chances become more slim for approval on the second time application . any help over here would be greatly appreciated

Here is the link to Quest Language Schools:
http://studyquest.net/programs/programs.htm

You need a study permit if you are going to stay and study for a period "longer than SIX Months". You have to CONVINCE the Immigration Officer that you are not going to live there after that. Please take your time to understand the length of time that you are asking for a Study Visa for to obtain a TOEFL here in Canada or any other Language course where as the same course is available in India or close by there, without incurring all of the expenses.
There looms a doubt in the mind of the immigration officer that this student is not a genuine applicant.
They will provide the same opportunity to a well deserving post graduate instead.

Now to the Length and duration of the courses that a graduate or a post graduate takes and the number of hours a week the student has to take and the number of years needed to complete the course study and obtain the Degree/s:

Go to Study in the next link:

Document check list for Study Permit:

In section (11) if the 'Other' box is marked for financial support,
try and obtain a proper document such as a TRUST account number from
the person contributing the sum and through a Bank.
To do this ask him/her to open a trust account with a named
beneficiary to it for such and such purpose with the Rupee or a Dollar
equivalent posted there in.
In the trust account name the recipient and the relationship to the Donor and the manner in which she/he is related to.
Alternately deposit the same in her name and work the details personally with the student as to how to go about using it.
Try and get a co-op study course or a summer work permit for the four month holiday period from the beginning of the month of MAY to end of August for the Student.

There is an organization there in India that you can contact and get all of the details from them, either in person or contacting them over the e-mail.
Here is their link: http://ciip.accc.ca/
They are waiting for people like you to approach them for their help.

Besides providing Immigration into Canada for 250,000 people, Canada
issued work permits for approximately 120,000 people Last Year.
Currently they are expanding the field for students, 70,000 of them indeed, by providing them with easy employment after completion of their studies and with
suitable placements for them in their field of studies that they are in. WOW!! Is the pipe line getting bigger and smooth.!

You can re-apply after getting through the ESL locally there and preparing for all of the other requirements, in the mean time, paying due care and attention to each and every detail posted here in and if i have missed any item by oversight, to those also. I am sure she will get through the next time. But be thorough in your approach.

Good Luck.

Freddie.
