Recently I received a job offer from Nigeria without taking an interview. they offered very good five digit salary. For getting work permit from Nigerian Immigration Services they have suggested on name in the offer letter to whom I have to contact. This person is Comptroller Ricky N. Peters
Head of Visa/Work Permit Operations, who will do all formalities for me. For getting work permit he has given me following instructions.
4) The processing of your work/resident permit attracts a government charge as stipulated:
a) Application Fee: --------------------US$350.00
b) Processing Fee: --------------------US$270.00
c) Courier Fee: -------------------------US$430.00
d) Consular Fee; ---------------------- US$350 .00
e) Insurance Fee: ----------------------US$520.00
Total: US$1920
Please advice what to do?
Sorry to burst your bubble but that sounds like a scam. Search the internet for job scams and you'll find many examples of this fraud.

Not only it’s in job offers but there are many emails of these types that claim that you have won a lottery. I personally got an email from a person claiming himself to be in Nigeria and head of Australian Lottery Corporation, saying that I have won $5 million (USD) and to claim my prize I have to provide them with my personal info (Name, Address, Bank Info, Credit Card..Etc) and travel to Nigeria at my own expense to get the pirze. These people send emails from email id's like yahoo.com, hotmail.com and one can easily make out that these are fraud. If a company claims to give job in 5 figures or lottery then it must not be a small organization, they must have something on internet, like company’s profile, contact, location etc and a company (domain) email id. So just to advice fellow cd's always search on Google for the company that is offering you any job or lottery price. One basic thing to understand is that if we have never applied to a job in Nigeriaor anywhere or purchased a lottery ticket ever, then how can we win anything.
Please go through the link below it has information on how to recognize fraud companies and emails.
