I sign up with one online job site and paid them $240 to get me a job for a three year plan. There's nothing from them so far and they keep recommending me to all other jobs outside my field in IT.

I signed the forms and it states no refund. I know I have been cheated. Is there any way of getting my $240 back. I am working as a labourer just to survive here for the past 6 months and it hurts badly.

Can anyone advise please.

If you feel that it is a scam, you can call the Better Business Bureau and they may be able to help you. You can also go to the Government of Canada web site and see what kind of complaint procedure they have. If you have some contact information about the company such as address or phone number, it can help.

Having said this, it is possible that the company has closed shop and disappeared. Such individuals generally set up another scam under a different name after some time.

some one need to lodge complain about sure job canada.they are running this kind of bussines since long.this has happened to my brother and my friends but after one and half year they didnt gave single call .
need to make people aware of this kind of scam.

maybe u should go to yr local Human Resource Development of Canada (HRDC) office and see how they can help u. They might be able to advise which place to start lodging a complaint against this scam firm. Sometimes the Better Business Bureau is of no real help, they just take the info down and tell u they will contact u... try going to HRDC first (in person) and take all ur paperwork on this company with u. good luck and hang in there!

Why not try oing to the police for a start? At least go and tell them what happened. Can you still locate the fellows...I mean do they have an address where they can be found. If you report this to the police, maybe they will start keeping the guys under surveillance and maybe something might turn up.

it is sad to know how people when desperate fall prey to these rotten degenerates like sure-job-canada. harjeet, make a thumb rule and spread this message accross that when ever some body asks u for money for a service like this, he is scamming you. in canada / usa, the employers pay money to the head hunters not the employees like u. surejob probably changed its name from once "haldane".

u still have a hope to get ur money back. but do some homework, read the form u signed carefully and look for his weaker points in the contract. see for how long has he jerked u around with bull*shit and did not fulfill his "surejob".

u can only take him to SMALL CLAIMS COURT, and u have to prove ur point versus his false promise. 95% of the chances are u will get a partial settlement so sue him for more than what u paid him including ur $50 fee for small claims.
