Want to call brother on a student visa

Hi,

I want to call my brother on a student visa.
Not sure My PR status will have a postive or negative impact for his student visa?
Can anyone throw a light on it?
He is currently doing Computer engineering in India.

You ask your Brother to apply for a Student Visa. He also needs a letter of approval from an institution that he wants to attend. You need to provide all of this prior to his application and a confirmed seat at that institution for his ongoing studies. Can you do all of this prior to June or July, If so, he stands a chance of making it for the September semister at that institution and he can make travel arrangements after the Student Visa application is approved. He also needs to show the funds for the study period.

It may look simple, but it is time consuming, so get a head start.

Thanks for replying.
I already know about the student visa details.

what my concern is that whether it will be a positive impact on the visa officer or negative impact, because of my status.

eg:Postive Impact can be because officer might think student has his brother for complete support.
Negative Impact can be officer might think student wont back as his chances of settling in canada is good because of his brother.

Your Brother enters the canadian Institutions on his own merits. Also your stay in Canada will be a secondary support for him and might enhance the chances of his arrival here. Hence take the positive aspect into consideration.

Canadian Immigration officers are NOT the mean kind.

Hello Freddie, Are you sure about no negative impact due to relative in Canada as PR? Do you have personal experience or know the law? or, this is just your beliefe or just guessing?

Please quote some example.
I have heard some consultants say that showing PR relatives for support is negative impact.

Nobody can guess what the visa officer will do on the day of interview.
