I want to outsource some work to India. Does anyone know someone who knows someone...? Any sites?
I know about some sites that depend on a bidding process...dont have time for bidding....I want to build my database of freelancers mainly for the future.
NOTE: I am not looking for outsourcing companies or their agents. I want to deal directly with the freelancers.
I'm looking for folk in the following areas
1)Joomla dev/designers
requirements: Joomla, PHP, html, CSS. Nice to have-Dreamweaver
2) Graphic designers-Print
requirements: photoshop, Illustrator. Knowledge/experience in biz cards/logo/brochures etc.
3) Flash artists/animators:
requirements: flash, actionscript, photoshop, Illustrator.
4) Copywriters:
requirements: advanced creative writing skills in english(and/or french). Samples required.

You can set up a free account. Post a general work requirement without mentioning your site. You can invite professional freelancers to bid on the work. You can keep the project open to anyone or restrict it by geography of price or one of the other criteria. You can use the system to negotiate and answer any questions. Your email address remains private and your negotiations remain stored on the system. Once you've worked out the details, you can use their escrow system to pay the professional you selected to do the work.
I've used it many many times and I always find great professionals. But, the support staff at Guru.com are also very helpful in case you run into any problems.

Thanks a bunch for the referral. I was aware of them and getafreelancer.com too but had some work to subcontract urgently. Anyway thats been taken care of now.
