Im coming to Vancouver during October 2007, in TRV. I have planned to apply for a work permit. I have a job arranged in Toronto. Can i apply for the work permit in BC and work in Toronto ?

Can i apply for the work permit at the port of entry itself ? One of my friends told me that ....just want to confirm.....

assuming you have a valid job offer, you will get the work permit at the port of entry, the work permit will state a number of conditions, including the place of work, the type of work, the end date, cannot work for a company other than the one stated(unless it is a open work permit)

I meant to ask whether the job offer letter should carry some specific set of information so that it is acceptable to the authorities.
