Hi guys,
Any idea how Montreal treats a newcomer Desi? I have just found a job there in downtown Montreal . Join on Apr 1. Can any of you gives fundas on apartments , where to live. , cost of living , weather etc. please help

Someone from here got an apartment by asking on that board. If your job is downtown then you may find it convenient to live near abouts. Rentals should start from 600+ but you really need to put some more details into your post e.g: singel/family etc. That will give others an enough info to advice you better. You cannot rent out a 500$ bacjhelor pad for a family of 4.
Montreal, very nice...I like it better than TO. Been here 5 yrs...dont want to go backto TO
