I landed to Canada last month on Work permit valid for one year.
Now i want to apply for PR form buffalo.

First of all, is it possible and if possible how long it will take.
I qualify for the skilled worker category(Software professional).

Someone told me that my local employer can process my PR in 2-3 months from buffalo?

As you got one yr work permit you are eligible to apply PR from Buffalo and it normally takes up from 15-24 months to get PR. They will automatically speedup your process as you are on work permit. And whoever told you that your employer can process your case within 2-3 months is either lying or doesn't know what he is talking about.

No, you just need one year valid visa to apply from Buffalo.
It is better to send all documents as soon as possible if you have enough points. If you haven't finish your IELTS, you can apply for immigration first and then you can send it later on. So, it will save your time.
