Hi CDs,

My family (brother's family, sister's family and dad) in India are planning on a trip to North America next spring/summer and we are in the process of listing the places of interest one 'MUST' have and those which are 'desirable' if time and budget permits. Can fellow CDs from Canada and those few from US as well contirbute your suggestions? They are also planning to use Indian tour operator for the convienence of booking, logistics and vegetarian food throughout the trip - any past exeperiences / suggestions with any tour operator are welcome.

Thanks in advance for your opinions.
Rgds,
Hiren

I posted this request sometime ago, got no response - I hope someone will chip in soon.

On a related note, since there are about 15 people travelling (including kids), is it advicable to issue invitation letters for ALL of them? Or if they can apply without an invitation and still get a visa??? Ofcourse they paying for all thier expenses - will my invitation help them in anyways?

Thank you.
Hiren

What type of things do they enjoy? Museums? tourist attractions? theme parks? natural beauty?

Are they landing in Ontario? are they going to drive around the continent?

:)

We are looking for MUST see places for thier first visit - so anything you people know they must not miss during thier visit, feel free to recommend.

Long distance travel (between far off cities) will be by Air, locally by rental cars, Public transport or Taxi as applicable/available.

The iterinary is not finalised, but they will come to Toronto for sure, either first or as thier last stop..some rest before returning.:)

If you are planning to drive then here is the list of places that you can see in north east Start from top to bottom or bottom to top:
New York/New Jersey, (Statue of Liberty, Empire state bulding, Times Sqaure, etc) - At least One day.
Atlantic City, stay in the night here
Ocean City beach Mayrland (spend next day at this place)
Philadelphia,
Washington DC.
You can squeeze Baltimore in MD on the way to DC.
Let me know if this helps and I can provide more details on same.
