i completed my medicals in april 2003, after 8 months 2 weeks back i got a letter to resubmit my photographs i submitted within 2 days, after that today morning i got a letter to submit the current employee details and pay slips and other things. i already submitted my passport along with medicals, usually how many does it takes? why they are asking the current employee details right now? when can i expect my visa, becoz with in 3 months my medicals will expire. plz give your ideas and suggestions

Usually one should go for the medical when one has allready got the interview date. Why have you submitted your passport? Dont you expect a face to face interview at the embassy?

If one has applied under the Independent Skilled worker category, the work experience counts according to the point system. So they must be wanting to verify your experience. Thats a positive sign brother. All the best.
In our case we went for the medical n Feb,2003 once we got the date for the interview that was in June 2003. Well at that time my husband was in America (on Student visa) and I was in India. He was told on the interview that we both have got the immigration and that he must submit my and his passport for visa stamp. So I sent my passport from India. He submitted both the passports and within an hour the embassy returned them with visa stamps.
