Hi,

You need to open a Savings Account to get this rate. Also, you get 4% on balances above $1000.00

Check this out: http://www.banking.pcfinancial.ca/a/rates/savingsPlusAccountRate.page

ICICI bank may be be the best bank in India because all there the banks are in the same boat when it comes to customer service...But here in Canada ICICI bank is the last in the line.. To start off their staff is useless.. they cannot twlk proper english... they work according to IST (Indian Strecheable time)..

-The staff does not understand or make an effort to understand what the customer wants....they work as they like..

-Every time I have to go to ICICI I make sure that I have 2-3 hours to spare because a small job of transferring money takes 2 hours taking into account the service levels, the paper work..Overall ICICI bank sucks...

-The only reason that one banks with them is that it is easy to transfer money to India without any charges...

Why do you guys want an account with ICICI? Man, I can't believe it. You're in Canada, so go for better banks, e.g. CIBC, TD, RBC, BoM etc. They have a better service, products, and don't lack technologically. They have more ABMs. I wonder why people even after coming to Canada stick to ICICI or SBI. Grow up!!!

ICICI Canada's customer service is horrbile. I would not recommend them to anyone. I have a web based hi-saving account with them i.e. I can only bank online or through phone banking. Their website is down very often and is very user unfriendly. Their call centre is no better. Many times, having called the phone banking, I have been left holding listening to music for long durations of time and then finally directed to the voice mail service. You leave VM for their customer service and they never return your call. I called their phone banking and placed request for money transfer (their website was down) and they did nothing!! In nutshell it seems they take their desi customers for granted as if we are still in India and have no other banking option. They have a long long way to go in giving same customer service as big 5 canadian banks.

I took my business somewhere else long time ago.

Hey

I agree with many that Customer Service is not good with ICICI Canada.
But that is always if bank is not from Canada.
Do you know one thing, there Call Centre is actually in India I suppose in Banglore.

One good thing is I never visited ICICI Canada, as everything is Online.
They pay good int rates say 4.50 % in savings & 4.25 % for small term deposits.

Also advantage is they transfer money to India in less than 24 hours if ICICI a/c in India with less charge.

If banks in Canada also pay this kind of Interest, then I don't mind putting money here also.

Thats my personal view
