Location: Toronto
Salary Range: $90k-$110k
Position Type: Permanent position only (not contract)
Travel: Mainly GTA, but could be up to 25%-30% Canada. Limited travel to US.

As a Project Manager you'll be managing large scale application development projects using our client's software framework and development language.



Responsibilities:

Responsible for all aspects of assigned projects, including management of scope, budget, risk, resources, plan/timeline, internal communications and external client communications. Leads project teams and is responsible and accountable for overall success of project.
Determines staffing needs for projects, and works with resource management and other project managers to coordinate assignment of staff to projects. This may include working with a small number of subcontractors and/or partners.
Works with other departments to prepare services contracts.
Ensures internal and external client escalation procedures are followed in a timely manner for prompt problem resolution on projects.
Participates in, or leads, knowledge-sharing activities and makes contributions to our client's knowledge-base. This may include working with and/or providing presentations to internal groups/resources.
Proactively maintains an understanding of our client's solutions and architectures, including competitive analysis. This may include building and maintaining strong ties with other corporate resources.
Works with pre-sales to help qualify solution sales opportunities. Provides services time/effort estimates and project plans for use in proposals.
Provides client presentations regarding methodologies, our client's value proposition, and project management processes.
Builds new and leverages existing client contacts to identify new business opportunities.
Provides input into consulting group processes and procedures.
Participates in Project Management team review of PMO processes, and actively develops/contributes material to PMO as assigned.
Performs other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

Demonstrated breadth of project management skills with minimum of 3 years of experience managing multi-person applications development projects.
Data Warehouse, Business Intelligence (BI) and/or data mining technical experience
Bachelors Degree (minimum), preferably in Business or Computer Science.
Knowledge of MS Word, Excel, and Project.
Excellent verbal and written communication and presentation skills.
Ability to travel when necessary (limited)


Assets:


Experience working in a vendor/competitive sales environment serving external clients. (ideally you're from a Big 5 or Independent Software Vendor)
PMI Certification (PMP) or desire to achieve certification within one year
Experience with BI products and tools (e.g., Cognos, Hyperion, SAS, Business Objects, Information Builders (IBI), Generation5, MicroStrategy, CRM, etc).

I am not going to be posting anymore job posting here. If anybody in Oracle Financials technical, DBA area is interested, please let me know I get a lot of requests for those.

I get all kinds of requests, full time, contract. However, most of them are in USA. Canada is still sluggish as far as OF field is concerned. If you are a Canadian citizen, it will easy as you can get TN.
