Can you please clarify the following:

1. If my relative from Canada want to help me to show Proof of funds at the port of entry, how can he do ? In what terms immigration officer accepts funds (DD/Cheque/Cash) ?
2. What will be the facilities to parents (senior citizens) if I sponsor them after establishing myself in Canada ?
3. What are the prospects for driving in Canada (taxi/truck driving) ?
4. Is Mississauga cheaper than Toronto or others (Hamilton, Kitchener, Waterloo, Guelph, Markham etc.) ?

I will grateful to you in this regard.

1a. relative in Canada can send you the money and you put it in your account and bring back the money with you.

1b. cash/travellers cheques/ bank draft

2. all sorts of facilities. if you search on this forum, you'll find more elaborate details.

3. very good

Coming to my question 1 : If my relative send me a Bank Draft in favour of my name from Canada. Will it work ?

No. You'll have to convert that by depositing into your account and then carry your own draft/trav. cheques

The bank draft that you will carry with you should be drawn on a Canadian bank and should be in Canadian dollars.

As long as the bank draft issued to you by your relative has your name on it and it is in Canadian dollars, drawn on a Canadian bank, it should be acceptable as you will be able to cash it in Canada.

Why can't the bank draft be in US Dollars or some other currency? I don't think the currency matters as long as it can be exchanged in Canada. I had most of my cash/ draft in US Dollars when I landed and didn't face any problems.

The settlement funds draft could be in any convertible currency including US dollars and Pound Sterling
