Guys
It’s that time again to get my passport after five year. Last time when I applied for my passport I have the country of birth written on my passport which is Pakistan. But then when I travel I had some problems and more questioning than some of my other colleagues. Now my question is if I leave the country of birth blank on passport, would that be a problem when I travel? Any experience with this? I don’t want to have my country of birth written on passport but don’t know how that will effect my traveling and other countries visa stuff?

1. Generally it would not be possible to keep place of birth blank.
2. If somehow it is blank, and immigration officer of the country you are visiting asks about it then:
a. If you declare it correctly, what is the use of keeping it blank.
b. If you declare it wrongly you would be misdeclaring, which is even worse as it is punishable by law!
It may be best to have correct facts shown on the passport and face the difficulties, if any, smilingly.
This is what i found the canadian passport website
"Your place of birth must be provided on the application form. If you do not wish the place of birth to appear in the passport, submit a written request. Be sure to contact the consulate or embassy of every country you plan to visit to ensure that you will be admitted if the passport does not include your place of birth"
