I applied for PR-Skilled worker category by sending my application at Buffalo on January 7th 2005 . I tracked my file and found that it reached there on Jan 14 2005. in Aprile end I enquired from my bank to find that Buffalo Consulate had encashed my money order on 19th January 2005. Its been about four months now and I have not recieved any acknowledgement or file number. My freinds who applied after I did got their file number in a month's time. I have sent 2 faxes to the Buffalo Consulate and still have not heard anything from them.
Can anybody tell me if somehting is going wrong. I am afraid if they have mispalced my file .
Pls let me know what should I do?
Once they have received the file and encashed the money order there is no way they can lose or misplace the file. Senior experts can advise better.
Golden rule is to wait.

If this doesn't work, I would try to contact the Minister of Immigration for help. Trust me, the Minister's office actually does work!

I know that we desis are hesitant when it comes to approaching Authority but don't worry, this is Canada where the term "Public Servant" actually holds meaning
