Hi Friends,
I applied for super visa for my mom, I fulfilled all the criteria for applying before, like Income requirement, Invitation letter, Insurance for 1 year of 1 Lakh CAD.
My Mother got medical, and the same was done in Apollo International, Ahmedabad. She received her Visa under super visa (PG-1) category on 2nd august 2013, but the only thing, I am not able to understand is, that she got the visa only for 6 months. The issue date is 2nd August 2013 & expiry date is 30th January 2014 for the visa
Her passport expiry is on 2021,then what should be the reason.
This is really beyond the logic, that when I had paid for the insurance for the whole year,Even paid $150 visa fees for multiple entry and the SUPER VISA rules says that the visa are for 10 years then, How can the visa issued only for for 6 months???????????
I am really worried for the same as, now I am wondering that should I book the one way ticket or Round trip for my mom. However, I am also wondering that if the Delhi Visa officers are on strike, so Now whom to contact for this.
When I called to Canada Immigration on 1888-242-2100, for the same, they asked me to called to New Delhi office for clarification as this can be a mistake, because usually the PG-1 category multiple visa are stamped for 10 years or it can be before the expiry date of passport, whichever is earlier
Please suggest me the way to get rid out this problem, As I find no way to sort this out. I do value all your suggestions.
Thank you.
Prashant

This Authorized Period of Extended Stay allows visitors to stay for a period of up to two years.
Note: Parents and grandparents already in Canada on a temporary resident status may apply for a two-year extended stay through the Case Processing Centre-Vegreville (CPC-V) by using this application package.
