I am sorry for asking a similar question I have asked before but according to this link -
http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/information/applications/guides/5529E2.asp
you can count the days you have spent accompanying a permanent resident for your residency obligation and it doesn't say anything about that PR being employed in a Canadian business/job , he should only comply with his residency obligation .
so is the PR has to be employed by Canadian business if he has to comply with his residency obligation ( if he lives outside canada accompanying his spouse/child for more than 3 years ) or it doesn't matter that he is complying with his residency obligation and he has to be employed by a Canadian business .
Thanks for your time !
Hello CD's,
I had applied for Canadian Citizenship last year. Now I have received a questionnaire which needs to be filled in with lot of supporting documents. This information is needed to assist the judge in ascertaining if I meet residency requirements under para 5 (1)c) of the Citizenship Act.
I am surprised to see the volume of info. and supporting documents that needs to be provided. Infact I was not asked to provide such info. & supportings with my Immigration application.
Did anyone come across this situation?
Where can I find an Official Arabic Translator who will be able to translate one of the stamps on my passport stamped by UAE Immigration Authority at Dubai?
How much does it cost?
Thanks in advance,
AAA
Please browse on this forum as well as the internet for 'RQ' and 'Residence Questionaire' deeply before you submit the information .
They need information on virtually everything including Bank , Lease , Utility , Job , Tax and Travel for the past 3-4 years preceeding the application to ascertain if you rightly meet the obligations .
I know its a painful task and will defer your process as well by at least an year but do not be disappointed - CIC is doing their job to find out people who try to take the system for a ride so bear with them ... It is ok .
I underwent the same excercise and I recall that my no. of pages submitted were 400 ... serially marked and arranged with everything they asked for - and on my oath ceremony I did see this file of mine attached well where I signed .... My preparing the document completely satisfied them and I did not have to see a Judge which is another pain ..so prepare your document correctly and completely even if it takes 2 more weeks .
If you research you will get all information - As long as there is some kind of English stamp , you do not need to translate -- I think UAE stamps are both Arabic & English .
