Hi group
At present I am using a FM transmitter to play my mp3 player through my car speaker system. but as you probably know, using FM transmitter sucks as there is too much static. I know there is a way you can directly connect the mp3 player to the car speaker system using the car audio input jacks. But I dont know how to do it. I am not able to access the car audio jacks. I was wondering if any of you know how to do it ro know anyone who could help me.
Thanks
rsk
Hi,
I put extra MP3 player in my car, I have audio cassette player in my car, I purchased MP3 player and audio Kit to connect from my cassette player to my MP3 player. It is working fine and i am enjoying all my MP3 cds.
You can get these kind of kit from xscargo in very cheap price. i purchased $9.99 only and MP3 cd (refeb.) player from Dixie outlet only $12.99. total cost me only $ 25.00. It working very fine, hope will help you in your car.
Enjoy.........
RBO's option is the cheapest and most effective... if your audio system accepts cassettes. Other than that you have two options that I know off:
1. Get a new cd player for your car which also has a audio in port. Then just use a male to male stereo cable to connect your mp3 player to your car audio. Overall cost will be 125+ CAD atleast.
pros:
cheaper than option 2
not limited to any particular band of mp3 player
if you have a portable dvd player, you can hook up the audio of that also
cons:
not really a cheap option.. depends on how much you like music
2. Get one of those nice kits installed which will hook up your ipod to your car system. 250+ CAD
pros: the audio systems controls also control the ipod
cons: higher cost
it is good only for ipods.. I don't know if there are other systems for zune and other players.
btw.. does anyone uses a XM or sirius radio around here.. thinking of getting one, but would appreciate any feedback
Hi All,
While browsing through other posts, got to read this one and thought, let me add my experience...
I recently bought a 4-in-1 Car player that has the capability of playing 1) Audio CD 2) USB songs 3) SD Card as well, obviously FM. Great prices (within $100) - Nextar brand.
PM me if you need to know more ....
