hi Friends....

I have recd my medical forms from CIC london 2 weeks back also they asked me to submit the ROLF and my UAE police clearence .

I completed my medicals last week, this week i will send the ROLF and ploice clearence to london hopefully.

Any fellow cd member from UAE/canada can tell me after medicals how long it will take for stamping visa on passport...

If there is no problem with medicals, you will get your passport stamped within 2 months otherwise they will take 6 months.

Hi,
It all depends, I think, on how big/complicated your file is. That is in terms of how many countries you have traveled or stayed or worked.


Many people get within two to three months. Some not even after 6months.

In my case I guess, they did background checks. That could be the reason I got the papers very late. At the time of interview, the officer has taken out one of my service certificate from an ex-employer ,from my file. And it was later returned along with the visa papers.
Since all my ex-colleagues in that company (out side India) left almost at the same time due to localization of our posts ,may perhaps caused delay in background checks (?). However I reminded the new HR Manager several times about my immigration plan etc. to avoid any possible delay.

Finally I got my visa papers after more than six months of submission of passports.
I suggest you to utilize this time for the preparation with well planning, that suits to your current employment, children’s education, season in Canada /air tickets pricing etc.

You know ,it is certain you will be coming to Canada with in one year of medical papers.
