I have got my immigration visas valid upto May 29, 2005. I have following questions.
1.I intend to visit in Jan.2005 to get my PR cards. How long I can stay out of Canada after getting my PR cards.
2.When exactly begins the date where I am supposed to stay for contineously 3 years to get my passport.
3. can I sponsor my father after getting PR cards.

you have to live 3 yr ( to be precise 1095 days ) out of 4 previous yrs before the day you apply for citizenship

yes, however you have to meet some income requirements and you have to reside in Canada for that

err... not to nitpick, and even though sukh is correct, for clarity's sake...
answer to q.3 is no... you cant sponsor your father as soon as you get your pr cards...
to be eligible to sponsor members of family class who are not spouses or dependent children, you need to meet minimum income requirements that must be from canadian sources...
in other words, you must meet low income cutoff for your family, and exceed the lico numbers by the amount required to be able to sponsor additional family units... income declared on the most recent cra notice of assessment minus any deductions (or if you dont have cra noa, then other documentation over past 12 months such as pay stubs etc) must be equal to or more than minimum amount required to sponsor total family size if the application were approved...
so say for example, you are a family of 4 (husband, spouse and two children) and you wish to sponsor your father and mother (2 people) then you must meet minimum lico figure of $44,789 as income generated from canadian sources...
look at table 4 on the link to sponsorship guide that sukh provided...
