Hi,

Just wanted to know that what is the procedure to get Dish Network? should I buy the digital receiver and dish from website? or from addvertisers in news papers?

along with that, what will be the monthly cost of "re-charging" the card?

there is no recharging... the card gets disabled by ECM (electronic counter measure) by dish network and you have to pay the guy to reprogram the card again to make it work... on average, if the card program is *very* good then you can expect the card to be "zapped" about once a month... if its not so good, or if DN has a big anti piracy effort going on then it can get zapped as often as every 10-15 minutes...

most people charge abt $15-$30 for a one shot reprogram (that is if the card has not been looped) and also have packages on per monthly basis for reprogramming... if your card gets looped then you need a new card...

keep in mind getting dish network services are illegal in canada... if your dealer gets caught and if he is stupid and rcmp get his client list, it wont be long before you can get visit from rcmp (specially if you live in hamilton area, there have been 4 raids in last 2 months by rcmp there.. they are really cracking down on satellite piracy)...

The website you have given does not say anything about Dish Network channels. Nor does it say anything about "cardless" receivers. So wazzup?
