Is License issuedin1992 by Dubai Valid in Canada

Hi I would be coming to Toronto shortly. I have a valid Light Vehicle driving license issued in Dubai , is that valid in Canada or would that help me in getting the License faster in canada. pls let me know about this

It will be better if you can get an international lincense from Dubai/India.
You can drive a car for a year on this.
