Dera friends,

Can someone please share the driving center in Ontario with highest success rate in getting G license. A driving school in Mississauga has offered me at the rate of C$30 per lesson (in car) and C$105 for the car to be used on test day. They also say that they may take me to one of these three Oakville, Brampton, Etobicoke and will charge C$ 90 for that, as these center have best success ratio. Are the prices genuine, though I doubt about the offered test centres having hight success rate. I had heard about Guelph, don't know if still it is the best. Please suggest considering that I shall be settling in Mississauga upon arrival. Thanks

My answer is NONE!

I am sure you must have got in contact with Desi instructors (notorious). They all have these tactics that are nowhere close to the reality.

Please remember, you're in Canada. Easy/tough is subjective and based upon your own preparation for the given subject (or any test).

My recommendation: No harm in getting training lessons from Desi instructors, but don't worry much about the highest/lowest success rate. There's nothing like that. These stats only exist for Desis. You may as well contact Stats Canada to gather any such info, if you still insist.

Disclaimer: In Canada for 8 years, failed 5 times in a driving test initially. Seen it all - driving centres with so-called highest success rates. It's bull.

I agree with febpreet. A desi instructor convinced me to take the test in Peterborough and charged me good money for that. Of course, it didn't matter and I failed.

So I switched to another instructor (another desi), who suggested not to waste money and to give the test in Toronto itself. I agreed and this time I passed.

While respecting your input I still feel that there are definitely few known for better results. Can you please share contact details of few good instructors in Mississauga or the ones with whom you dealt with for your license. Thanks

I disagree with the 2 posters above.
I know numerous incidents where new drivers were failed for good reasons but then how can you compete in a traffic crowded areas.
The best passing rate for new Desi drivers is in Linday , some 3 hours from Toronto.
Other good centres are Kitchener and Guelph , one hour from Toronto.
Then comes Orangeville, 30 mins from toronto.
In Toronto, Morningstar drive in Scarborough is the easiest.
Now summer has come to GTA after a very tough winter. All good areas will have 2 to 3 months waiting list.
Better to go to Lindsay. I failed 2 times in Toronto as passed in Kitchener. It cost me total $ 1000. So study for $ 300, Pay $ 300 to go to Lindsay and all the very best.

There's a difference between road conditions, traffic magnitude, and the ease of Driving Centres. The latter doesn't make it easy to pass the test by any means, but external factors might. I agree, it's relatively easier to succeed in a less congested driving test route. Nevertheless, you still have to go through the same testing standards in a small town than the big city.

Yes, you can try in Orangeville and Milton as they are relatively less crowded. May be try Oakville too - a sort of bedroom community and a sleeping town. Book the test sometime in the afternoon between 12 and 3. Less cars on the road, better will be your chances.

No yarr.
For a first time immigrant, I would suggest Lindsay and at the worst Kitchener and Guelph.
The Canadian system is designed for a local Canadian who is seeing his dad drive since his birth and so is tuned to the traffic regulations. Immigrants have an inflexible mind and hand and require a less congested road to pass.
