Yes Pranav, You need a POlice Certificate from RCMP and from India as well.
If your parents are currently staying here, then the police certificate should be
made at the Indian Consulate Toronto. The only thing confusing for me is on the cgi toronto website it says that you need to submit the original passport and will take 6 weeks to issue the certificate.
I tried calling them but in vain.
Can you let me know if you found any information as well.
What if the person is going to travel within 6 weeks?

Hello Everyone,
I also received the same letter regarding my sponsorship application from the CIC advising me to send the additional information.
We'll need to send 2 photos for my parents as per the Appendix A photo specification.
I couldn't find Appendix A in the application guide. Any help regarding this will be greatly appreciated. Any link to the attaachment?
Thank you
All it takes a simple google search. See below-

CSQ: This is only if you apply from Quebec.
Police certificate: Yes from Canada too.
Mailing address: - I would provide indian mailing address.
I suggest to get additional confirmation from CIC directly

I got same questions: which documents should we send to prove relation between sponsor and sponsored person?
Please click on this link to see the questions asked as per the letter sent to my wife's parents.

Also this is really unnecessary and stupid requirement, CIC should only approve the application after verifying sponsor's relation to their parents.
