Then I was lucky once, I got hot jalebis. I haven't been to that place after that.

Right on brother.
After reading your post , helped my self to 1/4 kg of jelebi's from Ananda bhavan for Rs 80 (No Tax on top of it).

Try India's Taste , 900 Ray Lawson Blvd , Brampton ... Been there today , and inquired about the $2.99 / lb 'hot jalebi' on the door ... Inquiring revealed they prepare fresh jalebis on Sat / Sun .... Got a lb. and yes it was soft , though thin ... unlike the thick ones but very close ...

Also would like to mention this .. when ever I have honey crueler from Tim Hortons , it always reminds me of the taste of thick juicy - kept - in - the - fridge jalebis back home

Could not help re posting approval of India's Taste jalebis - brought some over last weekend and they were differently better from other joints' jalebis ....
