There are equal number of indians who do similar garbage things

Significant Punjabi population came on refugee visa, some of them were living in bombay and used the punjab trouble as excuse..

Then there is a fake marriage racket.

Then there is the basement rental business in GTA where no property taxes are paid and cash dealing are not reported..

Ofcouse how can u leave out the large number of small business run by independant IT contractors, Truck drivers and cab drivers where nil income is reported so that all the CCTB and other welfare benefits can be availed.

The point being these are all common immigrant traits, so lets not pick on people of certain backgroung and ethnicity..

People should removed the log in their eye before they complain about the dust in other people's eyes.

My father who claims to be a god man and thinks he never does anything wrong or illegal was once complaining about the corruption and all the ways people do tax evasion and have to pay bribes..

His friend to whom he was complaining to told him, dont think u are above the system.. when u file ur Leave travel allowance claims, how many times do u submit fake receipts..

Thats when it dawned on my father that he does the same things he likes to complain..

One of my colleagues who works as a IT contractor was complaining about taxes in canada, he probably bills 50+$ per hr.
When i pointed out to him that he was probably paying the least taxes , she had no recourse but to stop the canada bashing..

I shouldn't have even said immigrants.. , i think most people will cheat if they think they wont get caught.. With immigrants it sometimes is more blatant because their situation is more desperate in the beginning and then they get used to it so dont want to leave the perks that come with it...

Very very few people are truely honest to the core, cant say i belong to this category either..

While I don't deny that there are abuses going on for the social system, there are a few gaping holes in this story that either yourself or your relative with the Census Bureau is not clear about.

So how did they manage to immigrate if the employed husband doesn't have PR.
Did the wife immigrate on her own basis?
That is nearly impossible.
The husband would have had to sign a declaration during the application process to explicitly exclude himself from the PR process.
And if he did that, it'd be equally impossible to obtain a visit visa year after year.
This theory is just purely impossible.

second questions # are you married ? answer no # I am single.

third question # have ever been married? still answer NO and adviced her put as a Single mother.

This is again highly implausible, not to mention an offense to lie on the census form.
If the women in question are indeed single mothers, their husbands that work in the ME will never be able to secure PR visas.
If a paper divorce was executed in the past, they would have to re-marry for the husband to be allowed to apply as a family class PR.
Most certainly, this will be caught by CIC, the entire application thrown out and the women/kids in question deported.

I'm sure there is some level of such tax evasion and abuse of social benefits going on.
It happens in most of the Western countries.
But the way you are describing is highly incredulous.
The facts of how immigration works make this impossible.

may be you are right, but i heard that so many families they are living together here and still shows as a divorced.

Some of them may not working in ME or who knows may they are here in Canada and doing some case jobs?? Honesely i didn't did the survey personally. but one thing is sure that there are some loop holes in system or Govt. policy where this kind of people abusing the system and results we are ending up to pay more taxes.

This is also true in Vancouver. There are many-many ladies (should be in 1000's)who live with their children here and claim that they don't have any income. They take advantage of all government benefits while husband work in Middle-East. Husband also don't show any income or negligible income and pay no tax.

Husbands usually have Canadian citizenship. Yes, I know they are suppossed to show worldwide income but.....
