The original letter that they will sending you will include that list of doc's you will need to carry. The only three things that they asked me is the Landing Document, original PR Card and the letter of oath. Although I recommend you to carry the original doc's with you ( just put it in the car in case if needed as a backup ). Also carry the SIN, OHIP, Drivers License too, again those aren't required but I suggest you keep it with you.
They will call you based on a seat number and then you have surrender the PR Card, they will put a seal on the Landing Document and will return it back to you.
Once that's done, we can go to the room where the oath ceremony takes place. Judge presides, there will be a speech, oath and national anthem. Once all done, they will call you based on seat numbers, to receive the "Citizenship Certificate" and also a "Citizenship Card". And that's it - You will be a Proud Canadian.
From the time you get in and out it's approx. 2hrs.
I'm pretty sure you will receive your's this month.
Cheeni, thanks for sharing all these details and lets hope for the best for me.
Hi there, quick question?
What is the passing % to pass the test
Reason of asking: Hubby went for his test on friday
The test was very easy, and he was asked to answer 20 questions and the officer told them passing mark is 50% ( Is that true or he did not heard them properly)
He says the questions was very easy - He did not go through the book (that they send us) but bought the chinese book (for citizenship test) and also go through the website called apna toronto citizenship test.
He was adviced to go home after the test, as they did not correct the paper and adv they will send the result either pass / fail by mail.
