Dear Desi Friends.
Myself and my spouse and my 8 month old son is planning a visit to Canada on October 24. What I would like to know is
- Will the climate that time be ideal for touring? how will be the climate?
- As we will be travelling with our 8 month old son from Doha so in this case what kind of preparation I should take care of?
- What is the distance from Edmonton to Toronto ( i mean how many hours and what mode of transport)?
Regards
Hi Sherdil75,
I can tell you about Alberta (Edmonton and Calgary):

Alberta is famous for the extereme winters, perhaps end Oct is not an ideal time (weatherwise), if you are lucky you might find temp. bearly positive in day times (just below +10C) but weather changes quickly and it gets really cold here (winter strom can make it nasty) please check environment canada web site for further details:

You would definitely need a child car seat for your little one (mandatory in Canada for kids travelling in a vehicle), you will not find a child car seat in the public cabs, you have to arrange on your own.
Also warm clothing for the cold weather (layered clothing will help) specially for your little one, Pre arranged accomodation/ transportation (else you can use cabs in Calgary/ Edmonton but it will be bit expensive).
- What is the distance from Edmonton to Toronto ( i mean how many hours and what mode of transport)?
They are like 3000 KM apart, Driving is not recommended (in late Oct. due to wintery conditions), ofcourse you can go by air, there are frequent flights to and from Toronot to either Calgary/ Edmonton.
Perhaps someone else can tell you more about Niagra.
Haev a nice trip.
I'm curious why you are combining Niagara Falls with a west trip (Calgary, etc.).
If you are primarily coming to the West side, then combine Vancouver/Victoria with Calgary & Edmonton.
If you have no other purpose in south west Ontario, then Niagara may not be worth it.
Alternatively, you could do Niagara, Toronto, Ottawa, Montreal and nearby areas.
