My daughter is scheduled to marry in India , and she is likely to stay away in India for a period of the initial 2 years , while still maintaining her citizenship, what are the legl obligations on my part to fulfill with the CIC?
Please share your experiences .
How long is OHIP covered after she departs? Her OHIP card is also due for renewal after she leaves .
Please guide .

Her citizenship will not be affected in any way. She can stay abroad for any period of time.

For OHIP, She can stay out of Canada for 212 days in a year.
