Dear Rajaryan,

In India Canadian embassy return passport in few days if there is refusal for visa. Now in your case passport is held it means visa will be granted, may be waiting for any information or in routine it take time. Parents visa normally granted.

Main thing is health insurance when they come in Canada. Recently my friend's parents visit him in Edmonton, Father felt some problem , he went to hopital, Doctor found some blocage in heart and right away he performed some surgery and told for major surgery in future. They have insurance for 25000$ but it is not enough for next treatment and they are going back for further treatment in India.

Hope your parents will enjoy here with stay loveones , and further get PR here and enjoy life. Wish a happy journey for them.

Please post here when they get visa.

Congratulations .
Enjoy every moment with parents when they are here . Make sure that they do not over stay . Visa extensions and over stay is not positively considered by visa officers in case you want to apply next time .
Try to buy medical travel insurance PRIOR to their arrival .
Good luck .
