1. Can you suggest a good locality for housing . Its just me and my husband so we can initially even manage in a studio. The only thing we are looking at is proximity to bus routes as we don't want to invest in a car this soon......................

2 apartment buildings. TD Canada trust bank, library Metro-Mac,s 5 minute bus service to down town (your work place will be 3-4 minutes from this location)

I jus went to the Hindu Temple - Carleton 4835 bank street....wat an uncomfortable place to go

Most of the crowd was over 40 with grey hair...which I dont mind, but the behavior I saw was a bit upsetting...lol

Seemed more like a bunch of indians who immigrated to canada ages ago and who think they have striken some gold mine here (I bet most of them are ordinary white collar employees making a decent income as per Canadian standards, but I guess its a lot more for them in their indian minds. I bet most of them show off their riches in Indian rupees to their relatives when they go to India.lol)

Attitude was utterly snobbish

I respect that they have thee tradition of going around the idols after the puja in a long queu. I wasnt going around as I decided to do it later and I just sat on a chair nearby. This old lady comes upto me and says \"stand up' you cannot sit rite now...

our old ppl have this really cocky habit of telling other ppl what to do ! i mean I have faith in god....doesnt mean I have to do what you believe...witch !....I jus left the hall....lol

Another incident. While we are waiting to be served in the kitchen. ppl are shouting and gossiping like crazy!! lol....its like they dont come to pray, but to gossip abt other ppl..


I remember while I had my food, a couple of families making fun of some couple that was absent at the temple about their hot tub parties....

Man....these people are a disaster not only for the indian community as a whole but also for their children...i guess thats why I didnt see any of their children at the temple except a couple....cuz they are so frail they cant convince their children to come to temple

They have accepted the canadian culture with blind eyes...lol.

I guess if a bunch of white canadians had gone to the temple, they would have sucked up like crazy, but if someone comes straight from india, he/she is rather considered unimportant....haha...
