Try AA Floors at Evan Road. Heard good experience from other people/

Their website is aafloors.ca

For Oak - Choose made in North America and Select and better quality.
Chinese made are also good and cheaper.

Can you do the installations yourself or you are going to get it done by an installer?

There are a few good deals running and some are coming up and it will be worth your time and efforts, if you can do it yourself and also take delivery of it from their warehouse.

I am looking at a few deals currently and will post you with updates.

Freddie.

1.There are complaint about the hardwood store mentioned in Brampton as there were news items/ TV coverage where the hardwood from the boxes did not give the coverage on the floor as mentioned on the box.
The customer had to buy more boxes to finish the job.

2.If your floor is not even you need to prepare a good subfloor and also use a good padding(3 function: sound/moisture/protection).

3.The choice of hardflooring should be rightly as you have started with a budget and not by fancy as NO buyer of your home will pay the price for the exiquisite hardwood you would have installed.

4.Check whether there is a NO return policy or restocking charge policy for excess wood returned.

5.Brazilian hardwood are supposed to be the best and are very expensive.

6.When you deal with an installer please ensure all the nitty gritties are put into the cost structure as many an installer will run away without putting the weathering sealents on cracks and joints as they tend to expand/contract as per temperature.

7.Write down all the possible steps involved in the job right from getting the hardwood and other stuff into your home to disposal of the junk, boxes and others and cost them out.

8. I would buy the material and get an installer to install it for you.

We got our hardwood from Brampton Hardwood and got it installed by a contractor who operates from their store - is independant though. We are happy with the end result and had no issues with the quantity or quality.
