Hey guys,
We have applied for Canadian immigration about 2.5 years ago and just checked our status online which states that a decision has been made and their immigration office will contact us.
We are a bit worried what does this actually means, is our case has been rejected or approved?
We haven't heard from anything from them by phone or any other means. Shall we wait longer or contact them ourselves.
Thanks in advance any help would be highly appreciated.
Regards,
Koolguy_01
Decision Made can be any type of decision - regarding interview, regarding medicals, regarding background checks, etc.
And it can be final decision too (accept/reject).
You have to wait for the letter from CHC to know exactly what decision has been made.

Hi Pratickm
thanks for your reply, shall we wait for them to contact us or shall we ring them
and find out what they say.
as we just checked our status online after a long time and we are not sure when the status was updated or when the decision was made.
if anyone else can through some lights on this will be also highly appreciated.

The CIC e-Status website also says the date of the decision.
If it hasn't been a long time (like over 2 months), you should wait for letter from CHC.
If it has been more than 2 months, call them (if they take calls) or fax them your inquiry.

hi thanks for your reply and as per our understanding this was updated in mid of May this year so it is nearly getting two months now.
i think we can call them and they always answered the phone (as we are not an Indian citizen and living in Australia and applied from here) so contacting them is not a problem.
thanks once again and you have a nice weekend.
regards,

There have been dozens of such queries which all of us have been seeing periodically for the last several years. More important than that is what happened to the settlement of all these people. More than the High Commission giving the papers necessary for immigration, more important is whether the society and the people in the country, how much they are ready to receive the immigrants. To put it simply, do we have a job offer at hand? Already we would have resigned our jobs in our native country. Just because a lot of boats are passing by, if we jump into the high seas and that too without life guard, we have only ourselves to blame.
The above may not apply to you at all and you may have a very comfortable life awaiting you in Canada. Good luck.
