My dentist has recommended braces for my daughter.
I have not shopped around yet but would like to request following information from CD's
1) Approx cost. My group plan covers a max. of $ 1500.
2) Share, at your discretion, the amount you spent for braces for me to get an idea.
I just want to get a ball-park idea.
Friends of mine who have had their kids fitted for braces, say that it costs approx $5000, and insurance (in most cases) only covers up to $1500.

You can consider getting the braces fitted elsewhere and ask the fitting dentist for a report/referral. My children had braces in Dubai and we did just what I mentioned earlier. No problems at all.
The orthodontist here is an excellent chap and charges us 20- per visit (approx every 6 months) per child. One set of retainers broke and cost about 200- to replace.
