I beg to differ.
People like him will be moving from one place to another in persuit of happiness. Every time you move, you will have to move / adjust to find happiness and this will mean loss of money to acheive your goals.

True happiness can be found only where you can happy at any place, be it New york , Toronto, Chennai or Timbuktu.

Couldn't agree more. Keep moving is just a waste of money and loss of peace of mind. Rather concentrate your energy/efforts at one place. India is no different in this economy - loss of jobs is the daily dose these days there as well.

My sister is working at a major Pharma company and bro-in-law in a Bank in Delhi. Whenever I call them, they sound as insecure as I am over here. Grass in the other country always looks greener.

So, you think, if you move once or twice, you should never move again, otherwise you will be unhappy. So why did you move to Canada in the first place? Why not stay at one place and be "happy"?

Imagine, you are living happily at one place, fully satisfied, what is your motivation to go to the next level? You have to keep yourself excited and thrilled to find more. Why keep updating your knowledge with newest technologies? Why not stay at one position in a company not striving for more. Oh, that might lead to unhappiness!

At a first glance, your statement sounds right........but then when you start thinking, it might sound wrong, as it does to me. I have moved seven countries and circumstances were different from time to time. Sometimes it was due to head office orders, while at others it was, as you say it, in pursuit of happiness. I am a person who gets bored soon with routine, and things do become routine after sometime. Till a few years back, I used to even keep changing the furniture settings in my living or bed rooms every 3-6months or so. After a struggle of 4 years in Canada, I am now settled - but already thinking of a change to where I might find more happiness or challanges!

But coming back to the original post, I have not seen many utterly confused and misinformed posts as this one. That person is totally unsatisfied but when told that he is so, he says, "no I am not, I am perfectly happy, but I am warning others (of what???)"

In every country you will find postivies and negatives.

In India you may get a better paying job (relatively) and may find it easier to earn. But then you will face the pollution, crime, bomb blasts and corruption.

As I say, In India as long as things are going for you, you feel like King. when things go against you, then the Government, the police, the neighbours or the system will not help you.

Think about all the issues there - rape, corruption to get children into schools, hit and runs, bomb blasts, unhygenic food, scams etc. I am not saying all that does not happen in Canada but to a much lesser extent and if it does happen to you, at least the police/govt generally tries to help.

India of course has +ves, you feel "alive" in India. Every day is a buzz. In Canada life is generally routine and monotonous.

anyway just my 2 pesa.
