The presentation exactly summarized what I have been thinking through during this 'Media' created scare. I posted the same in one of the other CD forum as well. But yes, whether someones agree with me or not - Media has somewhat a role in sensationalize what's prevailing now.
Remember this! As long as you have your job intact- you're good to go and in a good position to keep saving. Without employment life's hard - recession or not.
yeah rajeev- sock it to them.
In 1971 the Nasdaq was born as well. The twin towers were finished.
And yeah, shake yer money (Sheikh Yamani) - harvard educated finance minister of Saudi Arabia 'hillaoed' the world by raising oil from $2 to $42.
Ads in Britain went up saying to bathe in the tub two by two, things were tough, but we came thru them and we will come thru them now as well.
and the media will be responsible to bring things back on track as well, only we won't realize it.
Of course when things are good , money managers and CEOs will say it is their prowess that is making the mare go, but when times are tough , blame the scapegoat- the media not their stupid reading of things.
I told a money manager just that the other day and he gave me a real dirty look.
It is the CEOs and doers drivers of the world that are to blame not the media for the muck we are in now- the media only reports with exclamation marks! that's their job.
And the same are responsible for turning things around.
Media? they just report what is there and columnists put their spin on it.
