Hi all,

Since most of the landed immigrants are in their late 30's or early 40's , and are into jobs than studying, if they have to upgrade further in Canadian Universities, What is the nature of documents or certificates or transcripts they need to carry? Along with originals should notarised copies be carried?

Do mature students who have received PR Status receive University Schlorships, bursaries or aid from Canadian Universities?

Regards,
jwagh

Any submission of transcripts to Canadian universities should be done by Indian universities in a sealed envelope. That means, you have to find somebody in India who is willing to go to University and facilitate this process. Canadian university will not accept transcripts directly from you.

Theoretically, yes - you are in same league as any other undergraduate from Canadian university. However from my personal experience, I believe that your relationship with a professor has lot to do with getting an admission in Masters program.

The best bet would be to do some undergraduate courses and then try for masters.

No.

Students out of canadian schools get scholarship, but I do not think there might be any scholarship available for mature/parttime students.

The easiest way to get into masters (correct me if I am wrong) would be to work in India and save some money and then apply for students visa. Another way would be to come to Canada, work for a while, save some money and do some part time courses.

This is what you will need to do...

1. Zero down on the university and the program of your liking.
2. Find out about the admission requirements. If they need a GRE and TOEFL score, write the exams and have the scores sent to the university.
3. Formally apply to that particular program.
4. Send the transcripts and the letters of recommendations along with your application.

Hope this helps a little.
