I have 8 hours in london. I am reaching london heathrow terminal 5 at 6 am and leaving terminal 5 at 3pm on the same day. Can anybody guide me what places I can visit during this short duration ? I shall be obliged
Thanks in advance
Take the bus tour.
It's only a few hrs. long and shows you many tourist spots.
That's all you will have time for because you will need to check in for your connecting flight much before 3:00 pm.

Thanks everybody for the replies. I agree bus wud be costly for a family of 3 people when we have just few hours at our disposal. Also,I am not sure if there are 4 hour tour buses from terminal 5. I plan to take day pass for Tube/subway and visit Tower Hill station. I am not sure if I could visit Tower hill, 10 downing street, buckingham palace ,trafalgar square and central london in 4 hours. Thanks in advance
It takes 1 hr to reach London Downtown from Heathrow ... If I d to spend 5-6 hours in London , I d rather go to the Downtown and walk across .... take buses ... and experience London ..... 2 things which are not to be missed and can be covered are Parliament Square / Bell Tower / The Thames river/ London Eye .... on one side (closed to each other ) and the other being Trafalgar Square and surrounding DT areas - Covent Garden ... Oxford Street ... Piccadily circus .....again in vicinity of one another .... The first is unmissable and would take 2-3 hours net and the 2nd gives you a feel of London crowd (1-2 hrs ) . If only one option is available , take the first .....
Tower of London would need quite a bit of time --- and that would be just one place ... its more of a heritage site .... Either visit the Red Fort in Delhi or visit Connaught Place and India Gate ... choice is yours ... All the best !!

The bus Tour might be the best option as it is independent of the local traffic and knows the right places to go ...... though expensive .. it might be worth to take a complete ride first and then on the 2nd ride (there s no additional fare ) , decide where to hop off and on ...... HoHo buses frequent 30-40 mins ....
