My parents are in USA on greencard and would like to sponsor them for Canada. As any one sponsor their parents from USA ? What is the timeline for this ? Is it faster then New Delhi ( India) ?

Sponsoring ones parents is a 2 stage process. Irrespective of where the parents are, in the first stage the sponsoring application is filed at CPC Mississauga. The current process time here is 23 months. Once CPC Mississauga approves you as the sponsor, the file is moved to overseas visa post

In your case, the application can be moved to USA or India. As per current processing times, USA processes such applications faster than India. Overall, you can be looking at 3+ years for completing the sponsorship process.

We are in the same situation as you , my son just filled out the application to sponsor us. We are in NY. As Mr. Pkalra says the processing time is 23 monthos in Mississauga. My son just send the application on May and we received a letter from them in June saying that they received the application, nothing else, I guess now we have to wait....
I hope from now on, we can share our Timeline as one gets anything from them.
