I have a question to all the desi's or those who have been in my situation.

Highlights abt my case are:

1.I want to sponsor my mother who lives in India.
2. My dad is married to another lady and does not live with my mom. he has 2 kids with that lady.
3. My mom and dad are not legally separated and will not be also in future.

My question is will my mom's case be considered what are the chances of her case getting approved. pls reply. yes me and my husband do meet the financial requirements for sponsoring her. Will the CPC ask for any specific documents.

Is your mother legally married with your father?

yes she is my dad's first wife legally married for 30 years. we r muslims and more than 1 marriage is considered legal. even the 2nd wife is legally mairried.

If its allowed as per marriage act of the country you are living in, its quite simple to explain them.

And also in the case, if you want to just simple call your mom its very easy to do so without your father with this explanation. I would suggest to find best lawyer who can help you out in this manner. May be find someone who is muslim lawyer or a lawyer who had run this type of case in past have knowledge of understanding muslim marriage law.

I can see the problem, if you want to call your second mother who is not your mother..but I cant see any problem if you want to sponser your own mother. At most, you may need in writing from your father to let go her and he will be not interested to join with family in canada.

Although, it may get complicated if your father wish to come here with first and second wife including his dependand...it 's complicated.
